I'm Elise Blake, a COVID-19 survivor, and I'm raising money to make Christmas brighter for the Healthcare Heroes that helped me fight the virus at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. 

COVID really got me, and after battling it at home for ten days the symptoms worsened and I couldn't get enough oxygen into my lungs. I was admitted to the ER and stayed in the hospital for a week. 

I'm still recovering at home, but the care team that helped me was so compassionate, and they work such long hours while exposed to the awful virus, so I hope to get gifts (in-kind donations) for them in time for Christmas.
