We are so thankful for Clarissa. She has served Hillcrest's students and families for many years and her love for Jesus is an encouragement to all of us. Clarissa has been employed with Hillcrest Covenant Church on a Religious Worker Visa that is set to expire on the 5th of August. Since September 2019, Clarissa has been working towards and waiting for her green card in order to live and work in the United States. To not compromise or interfere with her green card process, Clarissa must stop working for Hillcrest on August 5, 2021. This means she will need to pause in her Middle School Director role. There is a grace period of 6 months for a person to stay in the US, but she is not legally permitted to work. Our prayer is that Clarissa receives her green card before February 5, 2022, for her to be able to continue to live and work in the US.

Clarissa will continue to be a part of the Hillcrest family as a friend and congregation member. We are glad that she can continue to be part of our community but concerned about her lack of income.
