Hi, my name is Ben and I will be raising money for the Pilgrims Hospice in Thanet.

WHY

My reason for raising money for the Pilgrims Hospice is because I recently lost my grandad (Bill Hornsey) and his last week was spent at the hospice. I was amazed by the care and support of everyone there and to think they run completely on donations is crazy, which is why I want to help as much as possible.

HOW

The way I will be raising donations is by playing 85 holes at North Foreland Golf Club on the 2nd September. The average game of golf takes around 4 hours and consists of 18 Holes, therefore this challenge could take around 18 hours. My reason for doing a golf charity day is due to golf playing such a big role in my grandad’s life and he was the reason I started playing myself. He was truly loved by everyone at North Foreland Golf Club and actually one of the longest running members (55 Years).

I am fortunate to have ‘The Mortgage Shop Ltd’ & ‘All Access Scaffolding Ltd’ sponsoring me and donating money on my performance throughout the day, e.g. £5 for each birdie and £10 for each eagle. I will also be donating £1 for every score over par I finish (+25 = £25).

Any other donations will be gratefully received to help me reach my target of £1000. 100% of all donations will be given to the Pilgrims Hospices.

PRIZES

Lastly I am currently in talk with a few clubs and local companies in getting extra donations, such as dinner for 2, half an hour golf lesson, 4 ball round a local course, etc. This is still to be arranged but for every £1 entered you will be entered into the draw (£10 = 10 entries). The more you donate, the more you have a chance of winning!
