Thales Henrique has been in a very serious accident on his bike due to a driver who tried to leave the scene but was thankfully blocked from leaving by other people.

For those that don't know Thales, he is one of the nicest and most hard working guys you could ever meet. An extremely promising athlete who was knocking on the door of turning professional now faces what will be the biggest challenge of both his and his partner Isabelle's lives as they deal with the long list of injuries caused from this horrific accident.

At the time of writing this Thales was taken to hospital on the 19th of April in a critical condition and since then has stabilised but underwent surgeries all day yesterday and is back receiving more surgeries today. He has major fractures to his face, ribs, shoulders, arms and more.

The fantastic medical staff at St George hospital will reduce his sedatives in the coming todays and from there we pray Thales wakes up and has regains full cognitive function. The medical staff are optimistic that he should wake up and his brain be ok.

Thales and Isabelle are from Brazil and financially this will place huge strain on them and I would love Isabelle to not have to worry about missing work to spend time with Thales as he stays in ICU and then later when moves out to the general ward and then home if all things progressing well.
