It is with the most devastated of hearts that I share this tragic news with you. My precious Thaimu Bangura, Mohamed's brother, was killed in a tanker explosion last night. He was taken for triage around 10 pm, but the burns were too much for his body. Thaimu passed away at 5:59 am this morning. Our hearts are broken. I will be going to Sierra Leone this week on a trip that was meant to further education. Instead, this will be a humanitarian aid mission and we will lay our precious Thaimu to rest. He was so loved and the most motivated young man I have ever laid eyes on. He was determined to succeed and he will forever have a place in my heart. Please pray for Mohamed, Thaimu's family, his four best friends and all of the others that were impacted by his amazing spirit. I have started a GoFundMe which will be used to cover the funeral/burial costs, assist his family during this time and provide future funding for other precious young men, like Thaimu, that deserved a chance. Thank you all for the love you have shown him over the years. He is already missed more than you will ever know.
