Hi everyone, meet Thai tea. She's a 9 week old frenchie-yorkie mix that we recently adopted a couple of weeks ago into our family. We got her so she can be my nephew's companion, he is on the spectrum and I hoped they would be the best of friends. And since adoption, they have been inseparable. But recently, Thai tea was playing in our backyard and got severely injured. At that moment, everything crumbled. She was no longer her energetic, fun-loving, and feisty self. Instead, she was low energy, limping, and started to whimper and cry nonstop.

We took her to the vet, and the first location performed x-rays and told us it was a shoulder luxation and directed us to seek further evaluation. We immediately went to a 24-hour emergency animal hospital and was shocked to find out after further testing that her left shoulder was broken. We were devastated to say the least. We want to get her immediate care, but due to the insurance waiting period and are current living situation, we are stuck with a bill that we cannot afford. The bill is estimated to be upwards of $9000 on top of the previous vet and hospital expenses that we have already paid for. Thai tea needs an immediate scapula body fracture closed procedure.

We are asking for anyone who stumbles onto this page for help sharing or donating anything that they are comfortable with as we try to navigate care for her. We want her to get the surgery ASAP and not risk her having further complications that could lead to amputation if left untreated.
