This is a fund dedicated to ensuring that Thai can continue to be provided with nourishing proper meals. Every dollar made here will go towards meals for Thai and their partner, who are both unable to leave their home in order to keep Thai essentially living in the most secure "bubble" of safety that they're able to create. 

 

Thai's partner has been their full time 24/7 caregiver for the last 5 years. This means they are responsible for ordering the household's groceries, prepping and cooking 3 meals a day, and the clean up. This doesn't include the strenuous cleaning up and sanitizing the house for Thai's safety as they're extremely immunocompromised. They're also taking care of all physical caregiving for Thai that needs to be done each day. On top of all of this, Thai's partner has to find the endurance to also work and earn enough to financially support them both. Please imagine yourself under this level of pressure, and have the compassion to understand that there's absolutely no way this is sustainable. Financially this has gone past the point of unsustainable, and has become out of the realm of possibility. While they're able to mostly support Thai and take all of this on, they're no longer able to continue with this food prep or the bill that comes attached to it. In order to be able to continue to work enough to stay above water, they need the community behind them to help provide meals, and keep food on the table. This is a basic human need. I know we can pull this together for them.

 

Thai has a VERY restricted diet due to mold toxicity and chronic systemic inflammation with their autoimmune conditions. We are asking for help to secure funds so we can pay cooks who have expressed interest in working with Thai's restrictive diet. Having somebody who can provide them with these meals would alleviate some of the immense pressure Thai and their partner are under. This would give Thai's partner a few more hours of the day to focus on their work that is crucial to financially support them both. These funds would help cover a cook's gas for travel, food costs, safe recyclable containers, and labor. This goal will help secure a few month's of provisions and care to keep them fed as they are unable to access financial aid.
