Merle's Surgery Fund

I met my sweet Merle volunteering with a rescue group called CAWS. I picked him up from the vet for his freedom ride to become his foster mom.  That day was the day I fell in love with him.  After about a month of adoption events, from April 2013 and on, I knew I had to be his real mom and make my home his "furever" home.  
       Since that time, Merle became very weak and lethargic. I ended up sending him to the vet to discover he had a perforated ulcer. Then I was given devastating news, to either go ahead with  the
surgery with a 50/50 chance of success or euthenasia. An immediate decision was necessary if I would want Merle to go through the surgery. To make this intensly painful decision I had to go to my boy and hold him.  When he looked up and responded to my voice, through my tears I knew I had to do everything I could to save him.  This was my furry son, and I haven't been without him a day since I have adopted him. I plan to hold on to him for as long as I can.
       With expert hands and my unfailing love he made it through the night,  and needed 5 days of post op recovery to be out of the woods. He is now recovering wonderfully and is wagging his tail when he sees his mama. Unfortunately, mom isn't able to pay the full amount of the surgery and hospital stay due to his pet insurance denying the claim. I am asking any like hearted animal lovers like myself to donate to Merle's life saving surgery. Your support will be greatly appreciated and you will forever be held in my heart.
