Henny was found on the streets of NYC, after supplying someone with many litters of puppies, she wasmost likely thrown out to fend for herself. Henny's immune system was weak from not being well cared for, and she inevitably ended up "getting sick" in the shelter, which unfortunately is a death sentence.
Unsuspecting me, found her beautiful, sad eyes on Facebook one night, and I asked the rescue organization to help Henny out of the shelter, and up to our farm in Salem NY. In the following weeks, we had Henny spayed and found out what a sweet soul she is. Nothing but the best when it came to looking for a forever home for Henny.
Well, she got the best, and then some. See, when a friend came to visit, Henny decided she was going home with that friend, making room for herself in the car as it was being packed up upon departure.
My friend Stephanie has taken Henny's wonderful soul, and is sharing her with others, in senior homes, and she has been certified as a TRI STATE K9 RESPONSE team member. Henny is showing the world that pit bulls have the ability to be perfect, loving companions.
NOW, Henny has torn her ACL (a tendon in her knee) and needs an expensive surgery to help her continue her work in good health. Stephanie does all she can for her dogs, but many of us don't have an extra $3300 laying around for a rainy day. Henny has had her examination with a trusted veterinarian and we are hoping to get these funds raised asap so that she can get her operation over with and on to Physical Therapy, which Stephanie is prepared to supply for her.
While I have fostered many dogs, Henny is one of the special dogs that have come along in my life, and she shares her enthusiasm for life with everyone she meets.
Thank you so very much for any donation you can afford for henny, we need to get her back out and sharing all she has to give with the world.....
