Support Courtney's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Upon diagnosis of melanoma skin cancer, doctors revealed that Courtney was also suffering from a very rare form of ependymoma brain cancer, where they discovered a 3cm mass on her brain. After undergoing aggressive brain surgery and tumor removal, her battle is far from over. This cancer now requires focused radiation treatment, which will require Courtney to travel over 100 miles per day for a period of six weeks.
The treatment and travel costs, combined with the medical expenses, have created a tremendous financial burden for Courtney and her family. On top of that, Courtney, a dedicated schoolteacher with the Temecula Valley School District, will be unable to work during her treatment, leaving her class without a permanent teacher. To ensure that her students are taken care of in her absence, Courtney and her husband, Rob, will need to hire substitute teachers at their own expense to cover her shifts.
Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for the treatments, travel, and the substitute teachers are overwhelming. This includes medication, daily living expenses, and the added strain of ensuring Courtney's position as a teacher is maintained for when she returns.
We are asking for your help to cover these costs, allowing Courtney to focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial worries. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact in helping Courtney fight these two devastating forms of cancer while supporting her family through this difficult time.
Please consider donating or sharing this message to help spread the word. Your generosity will make a life-changing difference as Courtney battles melanoma and brain cancer and works to get back to her classroom.
Thank you for standing with Courtney and her family as they navigate this challenging journey.
