Summer Dance Intensive
Donation protected
I am a ballet dancer and this summer I auditioned and got accepted to San Francisco Ballet School's summer dance intensive. Due to the financial situation that it would put my parents in, I decided to only do one intensive this summer. However, an unexpected opportunity arose that would allow me to attend the School of American Ballet's summer intensive in New York City as well as San Francisco Ballet's program that I had already committed to. This is an incredible opportunity because it would allow me to train under some of the most respected dancers and I got this chance through the recommendation of a highly respected teacher at the School of American Ballet who studied under George Balanchine. Consequently, I feel that it would be a mistake to pass this opportunity by because of all of the doors that might open.
The program starts July 1st and ends August 5th. They have agreed to let come a week late due to my commitment to San Francisco Ballet. I have decided to commit to the program and I need to raise the funds through donations and my babysitting work by June 1st.
If I can raise the money required to attend this program, I will have the amazing experience of studying and learning from incredibly talented and diverse dancers who can inspire and help me to gain a spot in a professional dance company. Any small donation would be greatly appreciated.
