Hello Everyone,
My sister and I are creating this campaign to help my sister Megan with her recovery journey. I bet you're wondering what happened to Megan........so here goes.
Megan was involved in a car accident on November 23rd very early in the morning. She was not the driver, and instead the passenger in the front seat. The driver who was distracted by facetiming while driving rear ended the back of an Indot construction truck with the blinking arrows on the back. When the impact happened Megan's airbag deployed, so you can imagine the speed of the vehicle and the intensity of the impact! Megan was cut out of her seat belt and vehicle and rushed to the emergency room by ambulance.
When my family arrived to the hospital we were advised that Megan was going into emergency surgery due to her injuries. Her injuries are severe leaving her with only one working limb which is her left arm (she is a righty). With all of her injuries she has a very long road of recovery...…. consisting of multiple future surgeries, months of rehab, and learning to walk again.
We are asking for your help to support Megan with her recovery. Because she will not be able to work, and her job does not offer short term disability. Megan's main focus should be on recovery and not her financial responsibilities. Which will now include the medical bills that are not covered by the drivers car insurance on top of her normal bills. All while not receiving a pay check.
Her recovery journey is going to be a long process where the doctors are estimating best case scenario that she will be able to come home in May 2020. When she gets home she will still be in rehab and continuing her journey. Megan is a fighter and she will make it through this with her strong will.
So please, even if your not able to donate, leave kind words of encouragement so that we can read it to her and SHARE.
