Help Annie See Her Dream Come True.

Annie is 77 years old, but she has the heart and energy of someone half her age. She has spent her entire life giving everything she has to the beings who need love the most — rescue dogs. Senior dogs, dogs on the euthanasia list, dogs with disabilities like blindness or heartworm… Annie never hesitates. She opens her home, her heart, and her wallet, no matter the cost. She has saved more animals than she could ever count.

Annie has also faced more loss than most people endure in a lifetime. Ten years ago, she lost her husband unexpectedly to a heart attack, the love of her life. Since then, she has continued to work full-time just to stay afloat, while still pouring her love into senior rescue dogs. Since moving back to Minnesota, she has said goodbye to eight elderly animals she took in because no one else wanted them. She never regrets it — she only wishes she could save more.

One of Annie’s greatest joys has always been The Wizard of Oz. Her beloved dog Hickory was even named after Uncle Henry form the film. Recently, Hickory passed away suddenly from heart failure, leaving Annie heartbroken and with a large, unexpected emergency vet bill that completely wiped out the savings she has been putting aside for something very special.

Her former coworkers from her years running a high-end jewelry store in Las Vegas surprised her with tickets to see The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere — a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her — and even covered her hotel stay. Annie had been working hard to save for her flight, rental car, food, and boarding for her blind dog. But the vet bill for Hickory took everything she had. She quietly mentioned that because of the financial setback, she may not be able to go.

Annie is someone who would give you the shirt off her back without thinking twice. She puts everyone — humans and animals alike — before herself. She deserves something good. She deserves this moment. She deserves to feel the love she so freely gives.

I wish I could cover the costs for her myself, but I can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m turning to the kindness of others.
