Devastation by Hurricane Ian

Hi, my name is Kiran, Director of Social Engagement at Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay, an assisted living community in Venice, Florida. We have several of our associates whose homes were in the direct path of Hurricane Ian and have been seriously impacted. Our associates are so dedicated to our residents and community that we want to help them rebuild and fix their homes. While some were insured, others were not. They will need immediate help to cover out-of-pocket expenses for incidental damages, flooding and roof repairs. We are fundraising for these few associates, our #TuscanHeroes, to help them and their families get back on track. Our Tuscan Heroes went above and beyond during the storm, prioritizing our residents' safety, care and comfort, and we want them to feel the same sense of support and help.

We are incredibly grateful for all the support, commitment, and safety of our building that protected our residents, families and associates. We want to take this opportunity to thank each one of our Associates for doing such a fantastic job extending care and support to our residents and family members. Many of our associates show up to work daily with a smile and a positive attitude while still experiencing hardships: homes without electricity and waiting for insurance adjustors and contractors to make home repairs.

Our goal in setting up this GoFundMe is to aid and provide relief. No donation is too small to assist those six associates whose lives have been turned upside down. The funds will go directly to the associates impacted by this event.
