Central Air Conditioner Needed
Donation protected
Our friends and I are raising money for a New and repair of a central air for Terri Hamlett. Those that know her know that she is a hard working woman despite the fact that she has 1/3 of a heart and is on the heart transplant list. She is a private person who prefers to live life without dwelling on waiting for the call that there is a match for her heart transplant, but because she is confined to her bedroom where the window unit is installed, her quality of life and health is suffering. Because of her heart condition he home must be quite cool. Her central Air runs year round. Over the past several months her family has grown. Her aging mother in law has moved in with them. She also has health problems COPD is dependent on nebulizer and is on oxygen full time. Terri's husband is a truck driver and works very hard and long on the road hours. He also has COPD. Terri's daughter also lives with them as does her husband and their son. Her daughter is also 6 months along. Everyone contributes what they can to the household. This AC unit was serviced a little over a year ago. The people who serviced the unit cut wires and pipes and it is not fixable and they will not take responsibility for the damage. Terri's normal way of contributing to the family income is cooking up beautiful soaps and jams and jellies and without the air conditioning, that's become impossible. The size and shape of the modular home would require a large number of 220 amp air conditioners and an electrician would have to wire several 220 volt outlets for them. Those units cost several hundred dollars each so it isn't feasible or cost effective. They do not have the funds for this either. Because Terri is good to her family and helps them with everything she has to give when they need her by caring for her beautiful grand child and nurturing her daughter who is expecting her baby in just a few short months. If anything else had gone wrong, Terri would have been able to tackle it but the lack of air conditioning is preventing Terri from contributing to her family income. She never complains, but her friends have seen her suffer quietly long enough and something has to be done to lend a hand to this selfless person who has given so much to everyone around her! Please consider helping her at this time. She does for others without question and now it is our turn to help her. Thanks Anne Tolmachoff
