Hi, my name is Nabeel, and I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, Mustafa Hussein — a devoted father, a man who has paid a heavy price, and someone now fighting not for himself, but for the right to be present in his children’s lives.

Years ago, Mustafa’s world was shattered when his wife tragically lost her life in an accidental shooting caused by a malfunctioning firearm. It was a devastating moment that changed everything. Despite the unimaginable grief, Mustafa took full responsibility, cooperated fully with authorities, and served a six-year sentence.

While incarcerated, the state placed his children under permanent guardianship. Since his release, Mustafa has worked tirelessly to rebuild his life with integrity, purpose, and hope for a future with his kids. But instead of being met with support, he has faced a campaign of fear and alienation—led by a family member now seeking to permanently terminate his parental rights.

There is no court order banning contact. Instead, a protection order based on misleading claims is being used to silence and erase a father who longs to reconnect with his children. He’s not asking for pity—he’s asking for a chance. A chance to be a father again. A chance to heal.

Mustafa is now facing overwhelming legal costs as he fights to:

Challenge the unjust order of protection

Prevent the termination of his parental rights

Rebuild a loving relationship with his children, who have already lost one parent
