Help Katie beat cancer

Our beautiful sister is fighting ovarian cancer. At the end of January Katie visited her doctor after noticing a painful lump in her lower abdominal area. The doctor performed a CT scan and on Monday January 30th, Katie was diagnosed with Stage IIIC ovarian cancer. Katie took the shocking news gracefully and was ready to begin her battle. On Friday February 3rd, Katie underwent a 7 ½ hour surgery. She had a complete hysterectomy, lymph node removal, and had part of her colon removed which resulted in her having to have a temporary ostomy. Her surgery was a SUCCESS!! Success doesn’t always come easy. What was supposed to be a 4–5 night hospital stay, turned into a 10-night hospital stay with multiple blood transfusions and very little food. Each day got better for her, and she finally made her way home Monday February 13th. Boy does it feel good to be home. Katie will need to have chemotherapy which will consist of 6 rounds, 1 every three weeks.

Katie has not been able to work since her diagnosis, and at this time there is no return to work date. Craig has had and will continue to have to miss work so he can be by Katie's side during her appointments. We have started this Go Fund Me to help ease the burden for Craig and Katie so they can concentrate on what matters most - KICKING CANCER'S BUTT! As you can imagine, the medical cost can be astronomical.
