Hi everyone. My name is Ming Sherpa and I live in Burlington, VT. I came to America in 1993 and I am very grateful for my decision to come here especially with these recent events. Last weekend my home country Nepal was terribly affected by the earthquake. Over 8,000 lives were lost, beautiful temples brought to the ground, and homes destroyed. I have created a GoFundMe account so that I could raise money to help the families there rebuild their lives. Even with all the help that is being given, I know that there will still be families and people being neglected. I can guarantee that 100% of the money raised will be sent to the Nepalese people who desperately need it as I will personally make sure it is delivered correctly and directly. My husband Pemba & I are planning on going back to Nepal this June or July. We will be visiting the rural villages in Bhandar, Khumjung, and Hyolmo. These are the villages that my husband and I grew up in. We will be visiting the families and talking to them directly making sure their needs are met and if they know anyone that needs help. Whatever you donate helps. Your money could provide a meal for a family, a blanket for a child, medical aid, shelter and simply hope. Right now food is scarce so it is also very expensive. Farmers have lost their crops & animals. The poor are not able to afford meals, I want to especially help them during this time. I will personally donate $1,000 to help and I would greatly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart if you all could contribute as well. This is my home and my people and I need to do whatever I can to help.
