I am raising funds to create banners featuring the name and photo of each graduating senior from Havre de Grace High School. With the help of our Mayor Bill Martin the banners will be hung from the lamp posts lining the streets of our town. Banners will be produced from a Havre de Grace business, Big House Signs. Banners will be full color, measuring 24” x 36”, designed and set up by Big House Signs’ owner, Paula Casagrande, who has been a tremendous help and support in this project. In addition, Big House Signs will be donating a rendition of each banner to an 11X17 poster for the students.
At the present time life is not normal. The financial impact of the Corona-virus has affected us all It is sad that we must deal with ever-greater personal loss and stress, on top of worrying about our children and their future. This time should be a happy one for our seniors,, full of anticipation, preparing for spring sports, prom , graduation parties .... The memories they have instead are not even close to what it should have been. That is why I am asking those of you who can make a charitable gift donation to this special fundraiser - please do so.
The plan is to put a Senior on each side of the banner. Unless we are able to raise enough for every senior to have their own flag we will definitely choose that instead. Each flag costs $70 plus tax and Go Fund Me takes 3% from each donation . I am asking for $5,950 which would cover cost of one flag with two seniors photos displayed ( one on each side )
