Help for Nepal Earthquake Victims
Donación protegida
Dear friends and well-wishers.
I am Rajendra Shrestha (Raj), born in Nepal and working for Total Safety Consulting as a Safety Consultant. Due to the 7.9 rector scale earthquake back on April 25th, and over 300 repeated after-shocks of 4.5-6.7 rector scales , this country has been shattered beyond anyone's imagination. Hundreds of thousands homes, buildings and schools were reduced to rubbles, killing more than 8700 people, including several hundreds people swept away by land slides at Mt Everest and other mountainous regions. Besides, there was an another major after-shock of 7.4 rector-scale on May 12 that added more victims, more avalences, more destructions and more sorrows.
Over 8700 people were killed and over 22000 people were severely injured. Thousands people lost homes, loved ones and this nation lost cities, historical landmarks, and many of its cultural heritages. People that survived are in desperate situations and struggling to survive day by day, especially in remote regions & villages .
In major cities, helps from international & local agencies are ongoing. But the people in remote villages and mountainous regions are still in difficult situations due to inaccessibility at mountainous terrains, treacherous trails, cut-off roads. There were two local agencies; SaiCenter and rotary club that I was communicating with, were in two of those regions, in Rasua & at out-skirts of the Kathmandu. But, they were facing many challenges including lack of medical supplies, lack of water, food, clothes & shelters to continue helping & supporting survivors. They were telling the stories that lack of tents and not having shelters during the hot & rainy season being major problems. Besides, two of my family friends & one of my classmates have also lost their homes and family members like thousands of others. They all are in desperate need of assistance & supports.
It is sad & very painful to stay back and watch these events unfold, without attempting to do something. My personal financial contributions to them was like a drop in the sea.
That is why, I have set-up this donation site to collect funds and to continue assisting them. Every dollar of your donations (less the admin fees charged by GoFundMe.Com), will go directly to Sai Center that is planning to built shelters for 20 unfortunate families and two family friends who lost their family member and house together. I am also planning to travel to Nepal myself soon; so that your donations are fully utilized for the cause and all distributions will be updated. So, please come forward and donate now to help neediest & feel better being a part of it.
Thank you, and may god keep blessing you all.

Little drops of water
Make the mighty ocean,
Little grains of sand
Make the beauteous land,
Little deeds of kindness
Make our earth an Eden Garden,
Little donation of yours
Saves many desperate lives.
