Hey everyone, for those of you who don't know me or my story.. My name is Chris Washby and I am 25 years old.

A few months ago, just 24 hours before embarking on a move from the UK to Australia, I received the life-altering diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. The doctors advised against the move, urging me to wait for treatment that could take 6 to 18 months. I had already sold my car, left my job, and ended my rental agreement, so I decided to go anyway! Determined to face this new chapter head-on.

At the time, I was in the midst of an MS flare-up, I had numbness, intense tingling, nerve pain, and overall discomfort. So there I was in the airport thinking to myself what the hell am I doing when I decided to make a TikTok video (go and watch my journey on TikTok @chris__y0) and the incredible support I received after sharing my story inspired me to document my journey through daily vlogs. From a challenging but beautiful 16 day trip along the Vietnam coast to eventually Australia.

However, life threw another curveball my way. Recently, I found myself in the midst of another MS flare-up, leaving me partially blind, fatigued, unable to walk and move my right arm. Fortunately I was admitted to hospital where they want to treat me with an Ocrevus infusion to help slow down the MS... unfortunately, on top of all this, I encountered an accident that resulted in a head injury, concussion, and a ruptured eardrum. After fighting to receive timely treatment, this has now led to a delay of 1-2 months. This has resulted in me losing my job and the financial strain has become a serious challenge.

With all this going on the outpouring support from this incredible community has been nothing short of a lifeline. Many have shared their own stories with me and also shared their experience, knowledge and support which has been incredibly insightful. A few of you have also suggested starting this GoFundMe page to alleviate some of the financial hardships I'm facing. At first I thought to myself I simply cannot ask that of anyone, I have never been comfortable seeking help, but after much discussion I have come to the realisation that asking for help is not a weakness it is indeed a strength so I have decided to go forward with it.

I am eternally grateful for each and every one of you who has stood by me during this challenging journey. Your support means the world to me, and I'm humbly reaching out for assistance as I navigate the challenges ahead.
