Hi, my name is Leah Jordan and this is my handsome, sweet boy, Chester. He is three and a half years old and unfortunately has stomatitis, which makes it difficult for him to eat, causing him to lose weight. The only treatment as of today is to have all of his teeth removed.

Stomatitis in cats is the inflammation of the entire mouth and is thought to be an exaggerated immune response to plaque. The cat actually becomes allergic to its own teeth. There are studies being done for other options in the future, but for now, tooth extraction is the only way to improve Chester’s life. He is fortunately on a short-term steroid that helps him eat.

I am currently caring for 25 (and counting) cats on my own, who I love dearly. As you can imagine, feeding, spaying/neutering, getting wellness checkups, and in some cases, emergency room visits, is pricey.

On top of the everyday life expenses and bills we can all relate to, I won’t be able to handle this expense on my own.

The estimated total I am hoping to raise doesn’t include screening costs or aftercare expenses.
