On March 9th around 3:45 in the afternoon, my godson Jacob was riding his new E-Bike home from school. He got around the L Ave and 6th st NW area and was struck by a car. Upon being hit he flew onto the windshield and remained until the car slammed on their breaks and Jacob hit the ground. The RED CHEVY vehicle then took off leaving a young 15 year old laying on the ground. A near by person called 911 and emergency crews were called. Cops are looking at all neighbors cameras hoping for a license plate number. Any information please contact CRPD!

Jacob sustained a fractured finger, shattered ankle, tons of bumps and bruises and a battered spirit. He is home resting and will have to head to UofI for more appointments on whether they will do surgery on ankle or not.

Throughout at all, Jacob was more concerned about his E bike and his Jefferson clothing. I am starting this GoFundMe to at least help him get a new E bike and some new Jefferson attire. Medical cost are now in question due to it being a motor vehicle accident and them wanting the vehicles insurance to cover medical cost.
