Help Start Adaptive Hiking Program

The Colorado Foundation for Conductive Education (CFCE) is a non-profit organization located in northern Colorado and the metro Denver area that offers intensive therapy to individuals with motor disabilities.  This summer, we are hoping to expand our program to meet the recreational needs of both children and adults with physical disabilities.  Surprisingly, given the vast number of adaptive sporting programs in Colorado, there are few ways for those with physical disabilities to access hiking and mountain trails with their family and friends.  More specifically, there are few inexpensive ways.  With your help we will be able to start a program designed to loan adaptive hiking equipment to help both children and adults with physical disabilities easily access the Colorado wilderness.

Our long-term objective is to offer inexpensive, recreational activities for the physically disabled and their families.  Please help the CFCE attain our initial goal of purchasing our first TrailRider (see photo)!!  With the TrailRider’s single-wheel maneuverability, safety, and comfort, users can access remote locations that would otherwise be impossible using a conventional wheelchair.

All proceeds raised through this page (excluding fees) will go directly to the purchase and maintenance of the TrailRider.  For more information on the CFCE visit www.conductiveed.com .
