Please help us fix our flooded and moldy basement

Hello amazing humans that I am so fortunate to have in my life.

As you all know, I am a single mom who runs my own business and I have been very proud of the ways I have built a great life for my girls and a career for myself. We recently had a flood in our basement that my insurance refused to cover it because a hose was involved. (Insurance, right?!?) In doing the demolition myself with two friends, (400 pounds of ruined carpet and furniture to the dump!), mold has been discovered throughout my basement. I had to call in the professionals and they are expensive. In addition, I have been physically out of commission due to a hornet sting gone way bad. I am on the mend but had to visit the ER and experienced several weeks of incredible discomfort. Additionally, and unfortunately, not knowing this calamity would befall us, I financed a new roof and solar panels last month so I can’t take out another loan.

Chenoa has started college and she had to leave a destroyed room. I would love to fix her room (and the rest of the basement) for her before she comes back at Thanksgiving. It is hard to ask for help for myself, but have decided it fits with my values about being vulnerable with people I trust and with my value of building community and connection. So, only if it is a blessing to you, we would love some help in repairing our home. Money is great, but also deeply desired are good thoughts and prayers.
