A hand for Dan
Donation protected
On January 12, 2019, Dan Konicek had a heart transplant. Dan has had heart issues his whole life and recently things started to get bad. Dan was in the hospital for some heart procedures and things were not looking so good. He needed a new heart. The odds of getting the heart that he needed were not the greatest. However, with lots of people praying for him, a miracle occurred and a lifesaving donor was able to come through for Dan. What a gift this stranger gave Dan...the gift of life.
Recovery after such an intense operation is grueling and filled with ups and downs. Dan has had good days and bad days. Sometimes he moves forward with his recovery and other times he has a set back. Dan has a tremendous team of Doctors and health care personnel helping him along and also has the constant support of his loving family who spend much of their time with Dan in the hospital.
2 months in the hospital receiving intensive treatment.....there is no need to explain how expensive this is. Also to keep in mind is the daily costs incurred by Dana and their two sons, Nathan and Jack, such as meals, gas, and other expenses that we may not immediately think about.
With all of this in mind, I would ask you to contribute to Dan's GoFundMe account. Dan's family did not initiate this fund drive but did give it their blessing after the thought was proposed.
As as they say, every little bit helps. Let's see if we can meet the goal and even exceed it. Let's make things a little bit easier as Dan continues on his way to recovery and going back home.
