Hi my name is sarah. A few weeks ago without my husband’s knowledge I had created this GoFundMe account out of desperation and fear of us having to leave our current living space. The situation we were going through definitely lead me to the decision that we cannot stay here forever. It was a wake up call. I was in pure panic of the conditions of the apartment and the fact that we could not return home at the time. We were out of our house for 3 1/2 weeks due to chemicals that have been placed in our carpet. A few of you are aware that we live in a basement apartment and basement apartments do not have very good ventilation. The chemicals continued to linger and were mixed with other chemicals Which had caused me to feel very ill. I also have chronic autoimmune disease and symptoms of asthma. The landlord has since replaced the carpet that had the chemicals and fixed the current leaking situation. We are now back in our apartment. Being back here has been a blessing, But we’ve also been using the donations to save for a safer place to live in the future. We do not have a kitchen. Our kitchen is a utility room with an open ceiling, a boiler, a washer and dryer with a lot of wires exposed.As time goes on, I start to think about the future. Future children, future family, get-togethers, and things like that. Only if you feel lead donations are still open. You would be helping us to move forward to our future home. Truthfully, I would want nothing more than a kitchen and a safer place to start growing my family in the future and to bless my hard-working husband with a little bit of help. He takes on all the bills and I am nothing but grateful for my husband every single day. Thank you for all your donations all your kind hearted messages and prayers.
