Textbooks for O'Bryant AP History

Due to amazing and generous folks, we were able to raise our original goal of $1675 for 75 textbook in 22 hours! I have increased the goal to $2100 to get 100 textbooks, so if you have already donated please do not do so again (100 textbooks will be our max and this will not only make a significant impact to our current resilient students fighting against all odds, but given the nature of urban funding, this will allow students for 5 to 10 years to continue to use these textbooks beyond remote learning). We have 147 amazing sophomores who took the challenge to become our first students to take Advanced Placement (AP) Modern World History at our school. You can see many of these amazing young people below, when they were volunteering last year as freshmen in the Boston Tea Party Reenactment. These young scholars have been working very hard to learn a diverse and challenging curriculum and to prepare for the AP exam on May 10th, but this pandemic has made things quite difficult as they have to spend 10 plus hours every day in front of a computer.
As with every urban school, our budget is quite limited and although our school was able to purchase the online version of Ways of the World: A Global History with Sources by Robert W. Strayer and Eric W. Nelson for nearly $150 per student, we could not afford to add the $21 per student that would have given our students a physical copy of the textbook also.
Can you help us buy a textbook or two ($21 each) to help the 75 young scholars make these challenging times a little less stressful and a little more joyful? Our students are resilient and thoughtful critical thinkers who could use a little less time in front of a computer. Thank you for your support on behalf of my students and I.
