We are The Texoma Sanctuary & Center for Sustainable Welfare (TCSCSW), a community‑driven initiative dedicated to rescuing animals, supporting veterans, and building a sustainable future for Texoma.

Every day in our region, animals are abandoned, freezing, or suffering without care. At the same time, many of our veterans face isolation, emotional hardship, and a lack of meaningful connection. Texoma has no place where these two vulnerable groups can heal together, and that's what we're here to change.

Our Vision

We are building Texoma's first zero‑footprint, no‑kill animal sanctuary — a place where rescue meets resilience. This sanctuary will be a haven for animals in crisis, a source of companionship and purpose for veterans, and a model of sustainable, community‑centered care.

What We're Creating

A Sustainable Sanctuary

An entirely off‑grid, solar‑powered, water‑conscious facility designed to operate with minimal environmental impact. This includes:

Solar energy systems

Rainwater harvesting

Native landscaping

Composting and waste‑reduction programs

A Concrete Warming Shelter

A durable, vandal‑resistant, climate‑controlled space where pets of unhoused individuals can stay warm, safe, and cared for.

A Mobile Outreach Unit

A fully equipped van that brings veterinary care, supplies, and rescue services directly to the community, reaching animals and people who otherwise have no access to help.

Veterans Companion Program

Pairing rescue animals with veterans who need emotional support, purpose, and connection. These partnerships save two lives at once.
