Hello,
My name is Austin Faeth, president of Delta Sigma Phi at Texas Tech University. After a long week of finals, most of our brothers were able to return home safely with their families. However, on December 15th, one of our brothers, found out that he wouldn't be needing to pack much on his trip home. Logan McClinton, a student with a 3.9 GPA, Delta Sig's academic chair, and who is very involved with his community, is one of two residents who currently lives at our off-campus lodge. On the night of the 15th, he came home to find out that the lodge had been broken in to. From clothing to electronics, they took anything and everything from his room and the rest of the lodge. Unfortunately for Logan, our National Insurance does not cover incidents like this, so he is stuck having to repay and replace his personal belongings by himself. The fraternity has decided to step up and help Logan in any way possible, so we have set up this fundraiser in order to raise money to replace his belongings as soon as possible. Money raised through this fundraiser would go directly towards aiding Logan as he tries to replenish everything that he has lost. We ask for help from our friends and families, as well as the citizens of Lubbock and the entire greek community, so that Logan will hopefully have enough to start again by Spring semester. Personally, I couldn't imagine getting ready to drive home from a long semester only to find out that you won't be packing much to bring back with you. With the holiday season in full swing, it only makes this entire process more difficult. We ask for any sort of contributuion, as we will be grateful for any ammount. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Austin Faeth
