Here at Texas Made Horse Rescue, our mission is to rescue horses from unsafe circumstances, rehabilitate them with patience and care, and adopt them out to loving, forever homes. Founded by a family of lifelong animal lovers, we prioritize each horse’s health and happiness because we believe all animals deserve respect, compassion, and the chance to thrive.

Sadly, not everyone believes animals should be treated with love and respect. We began attending horse auctions and were shocked to see the number of injured, neglected, and abused horses who were being abandoned and sent to dangerous fates. Thousands of these horses — already sick and suffering — are sold to kill buyers outside of the country. They are forced to endure long, painful journeys in crowded trailers, only to be sent to their death. We believe these horses are destined for more than that, which is why we have rescued more than 200 horses to date.

Join our mission and help us change the lives of these horses. Learn more and follow our journey!
