Texas Flood Victim in Need of Help after Losing His Home

Story

My name is Jessica Rux and I am creating this Gofundme on behalf of my dad, Tom Rux. He is an amazing person and an even better dad. He is loyal, loving, caring, kind, and selfless (among many other traits). He is the type of person to give you the shirt off his back and help in any way needed and doesn’t ever ask for help. Unfortunately, my dad was part of the flood in Texas this month and has lost everything. Please read his story and if you feel compelled to donate, any amount (no matter the size) will be helpful. At 4am on July 4th, 2025, Tom Rux was awoken by thunder and lightning; followed by a knock on the door from the Ingram Fire Department calling for evacuation. Minutes later, the Guadalupe River’s flash flood swept his RV away and as it did so parts of the RV were broken open/off and all of his belongings were flooded. Many items were swept away and lost in the flood and most items were ruined completely. While Tom was one of the few blessed individuals to flee before the flood injured or took his life, as it did to many others, he did lose his home and most of his belongings. As his daughter, I humbly ask for any help that can be provided to assist my dad in replacing items that were lost/ruined and to put towards living expenses. Thank you.
