Texas Flood Relief: Today's the Day To Help

Hey yall, my name is Shawn Stumpf and I am raising money for the devastating tragedies happening in central Texas due to the current flooding. I plan to go down to the affected areas this Thursday with a couple of Mighty Men, Brier Miller and Cole Baker, to do whatever we can to help these people whether we have some money or no money; we will go regardless. The money will go towards food, supplies, church organizations, other groups, and hopefully families that we get to meet. Our goal is $10,000 by the time we leave Thursday but literally anything we have by then will help. Something is better than nothing.

I am originally from Minnesota but now have been living in Dallas the last couple years. When I heard about whats happened from the flooding at church this Sunday morning, first I had no idea it was this bad and second I had to do something. I always pray to God for opportunities to help other people, whether thats financially or with my time and body that God has given me. I believe if we don't participate and choose to sit on the sidelines when opportunities to use the gifts and treasures that we have, then we waste the very things that God has given us to use in these situations. Minnesota is my first home, Texas is second, but it is still home and if there is a need for my brothers and sisters in that home, I will be there.
