Texas’ fight against FIP

Hi, my name is Savannah and I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes of some help with my beautiful boy Texas’s medical bills.

Texas has Feline Infectious Perotonitis, more commonly known as FIP. Up until very recently, FIP was a death sentence for kitties. It is nearly impossible to diagnose and quite rare. It is an immune response to the feline coronavirus that most cats get but unfortunately not all have the immune strength to stop FeCV from progressing to FIP.

Fortunately though, what was once a 100% fatal disease now is completely treatable through a series of injections of a compound known as GS-441524, and I have been working with FIP Advocates and Champions, a wonderful group of volunteers dedicated to saving feline lives to save Texas- and this stuff is miracle medicine.

Texas is on day 41 of his 84 day treatment, after which point he will be under observation with additional tests to ensure that GS has done its job of fighting this evil disease and he will be cured. Every day he’s got more life inside him and I have so much hope that he will beat this disease for good.

I am asking for help as this medication has been working wonders for Texas (and so many other kitties), but he had a recent backslide that required me to increase his dose significantly (nearly double from when he started), therefore nearly doubling the cost as well.

Anyone who knows Texas knows he’s the sweetest, funniest, sassiest, most playful fluffy little orange guy ever. Even on his worst of sick days he’s found the energy to play and show love to his humans. He’s the biggest little fighter of a kitty I’ve ever met and I would appreciate nothing more than your help in his fight against FIP, any bit counts. Thank you so much for your support.
