IVF-ICSI treatment

Hello, our names are Polly and Brandon Wenman, we are about to begin our self funded IVF treatment in Dublin. We began our fertility journey in July 2018 where we then unfortunately suffered an early miscarriage in January 2019, we made it to 11 weeks and 6 days however, the baby sadly passed away at 6 weeks and 1 day causing us to have to endure a natural miscarriage at home, we continued to try again finding out we were pregnant again on Christmas eve in 2019 which again sadly ended in a natural miscarriage a week later on new years eve 2019. Again we began to try again straight away however nothing was working, after a few doctors appointments, our amazing doctor decided to refer us to the fertility clinic in Manchester in 2021, after many tests and results we were informed that our miscarriages were noted down as just "bad luck". In 2022, we were informed that to enable us to be entitled for NHS funded treatment, Polly would have to reduce her BMI to below 30 (this was just under 4 stone to lose), Polly has been actively striving to achieve this and unfortunately suffered a third miscarriage in January 2024 during this time. In July 2024, when Polly had achieved this, we returned to Manchester which it was then confirmed that we could begin our treatment and book the first doctors appointment with them. During this appointment in September, we were informed by the doctor that we are no longer eligible due to Brandon having a child from a previous relationship (the hospital were informed of this from the beginning). After returning home from this appointment, we did plenty of research where we found the amazing Therapie fertility clinic in Dublin which has an amazing success rate of 61.4% in 2023 for patients under 35 undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment which is why we chose this clinic. This morning (19th December 2024) we had our first initial consultation where we discussed the process and the costs which will be almost £8000 for the first round of treatment including the medication, we also need to fund our travel and stays over this period which as you will understand can be quite costly.
