Hi everyone, introducing this sweet girl who was found in the Uniprix rear parking lot Tuesday night. She was emaciated, limping and meowing for help. We took a close look and saw that she was crouching in pain and badly injured, so my coworkers and I carefully put her in a box and in the car and she was taken to the vet the following morning. We got blood tests to make sure she had no deadly diseases and she was in fact clean. While having her wound painfully examined she was stoic and never aggressive (she is an angel). She had extremely infected wounds & dead flesh that required a hefty debridement under anesthesia. She came home Friday with stitches, her cone, antibiotics and pain medication. She is in good spirits but her recovery will be long, as one of her wounds is still heavily infected.

Her temporary name is Teva, inspired by a large pharmaceutical company used at the place she was found, and at the vets office, the place she was saved. She will stay with us until she is recovered and will that will require follow up appointments including a separate suture removal.

Though I am in no financial position to provide any of this kind of veterinary care, it was simply impossible to leave her under a car in the rain to waste away in pain. So I am reaching out hoping there are animal lovers out there who would be willing to support her cause and recovery, because she’s a fighter and a sweetheart who deserves a chance.

I have started a Go Fund Me because support would be graciously appreciated. I would like to add however that is has been paid for and she is on her road to recovery regardless.
