At the end of last year, 2018, my siblings and myself were saddened to hear our mom was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. News none of us could bear to think we would ever receive was face to face, staring us directly into the eyes. From there forward, it would all be an emotional roller coaster for everyone. We remained positive during my moms mastectomy in January. Now we have learned that our mom will be receiving initial sessions of the strongest chemo and radiation. She will be taking hormone medication for 10 years following and her treatment begins this month. Most importantly, I ask anyone who reads this send positive vibes, thoughts, prayers her way and for our family. She has not wanted to share news because she does not want people to take pity on her. Positivity is key!!! If you have met my mom...you know she is the most caring, motherly, and selfless woman. I ask anyone please contribute any monetary amount to help my mom begin this bumpy road to recovery. Lando, her fiancé, will be taking numerous days without pay to be home to support our mom and they will need all of the help they can get.
