My name is Tessa Shoemaker. I have Class 2 Lupus Nephritis which means I have permanent scarring on my kidneys.

Honestly, I could keep adding to that list but those I did list are the ones I’ve struggled with the most this year!

I'm now 30 years old, with no health insurance, and because of my condition I've found it hard to keep jobs because my body just can't take the physical and emotional stress!! Then Covid happened but unfortunately I can’t get the vaccine due to my compromised immune system.

• I got my Sjogrens diagnosis around 5 or 6 years ago give or take!  Sjogrens which typically attacks the salivary glands, and the tear ducts, but it can also attack anywhere in the body that produces fluid.  This contributed to all of my teeth falling out leaving holes throughout my mouth where my teeth once lived. Eating has become an excruciating chore that I have to force myself to eat every day!
  

I have applied for Social Security Disability and so far I’ve been denied at least 5 times over the last 20+ years.
This fund is helping to pay for my medical expenses, new teeth, gas to and from all of my doctors appointments (I see several different doctors each month), and to help pay for outstanding hospital bills.
