Tessa selected for leadership and STEM skills!
Donation protected
Hi ! My name is Tessa Wilburn and I am 14 years old. I go to a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) magnet school. I eventually want to become an architect. I am currently in eighth grade but after May 25, I will technically be in highschool. Getting into my first year of highschool means getting one year closer to college.
I have been selected to attend the "National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Explore STEM" program that is being held at Emory College in Atlanta, GA in July. My selection was based upon my academic potential and interest in the STEM fields. The program curriculum brings STEM to life as I plan for a "Mission to Mars." NYLF: Explore STEM will give me a head start on planning for my future as I prepare to enter highschool.
Right now I can’t really afford it, but I really want to do this. When my mom and I were looking into this program, the website said that many people use fundraisers to help cover the tuition as well as the transportation costs. Taking all of this into consideration, I hope you will help me reach my goal of 3,500 dollars.
Thank you in advance!
