Tessa Hajek-Conway Medical and Travel Expenses

We are creating this GoFundMe for Tessa Hajek-Conway. Some of you may know her from her 25 years at Albertson’s in Glendive and Helena. Tessa is a very selfless person. She always lends a hand to those who need it and expects nothing in return. Now she needs us. Tessa was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer in December 2023. She is doctoring in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. With good weather, this is an almost 7-hour drive one way.

On January 25, Tessa and her husband Paul made the drive to meet her doctors and get blood work and scans done. The plan from here is surgery to remove the tumors from her right kidney first, as there are more, and they are bigger than the left kidney. They will be doing a biopsy on the tumors once removed, and provided the cancer hasn’t spread from the kidneys, treatment will not be needed.

Because of the surgeries needed, Tessa will be off work for a minimum of four weeks for each surgery. Paul works as Government Contract Driver, hauling mail for McGree Trucking, and unfortunately does not have vacation time to use towards traveling to Salt Lake City. Medical bills, travel, lodging, and dining will all become very costly for them.

Tessa is not one to ever ask for help. She is very much an “I’ll figure it out” type person. That is where this GoFundMe comes in. We are asking for help to ease some of the burden for Tessa and Paul. If you are able, please donate. If you can’t, your prayers, good vibes, well wishes, will all be very appreciated.
