Let's Help Dan Beat MDS

Meet Dan (Donato) La Peter, a father, brother, twin, cousin, boyfriend, friend. Dan has worked as a Security Officer at Tesoro for several years and was recently diagnosed with a rare bone marrow blood cancer called Myelodysplastic syndromes or MDS. Dan’s MDS is considered HIGH RISK. Dan is on leave from his job as he is not well enough to work.

Dan will be receiving treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. His initial treatment requires him to be at Moffitt for a month to receive daily chemotherapy treatments and transfusions as needed. Once the chemotherapy is successfully completed, the physicians will determine if Dan will need a bone marrow transplant.

Dan will need to pay for housing (Moffitt provides access to discounted places) and expenses while he is at Moffitt, as well as provide for his family (Anthony 13 and his girlfriend Kim) back home in Port St. Lucie.
