As many of you know, in September of last year I was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. October 19th of last year I had surgery to remove a stage three tumor on my leg. This also required a skin graphed and muscle flap to repair. A failed skin graphed and insurance issues delayed the start of my radiation treatment. which finally ended April 5. Then I developed a sever vitamin D deficiency which took two months to resolve.
Now, after clear scans, it looks like there is a possibility that my cancer has returned. I have surgery on November 1st to remove a tumor in my thigh. Of course, being me, it is not a typical course for sarcoma, which usually spreads through the lungs. This seems to have spread through my lymph nodes. Sarcoma is only 1-2% of cancers and only spreads through the lymph nodes 5% of that.
I have not been able to work during my recovery because of continuing complication. While I have applied for hardship delays on taxes and have been turned down for disability, I need some short term help to in order to pay my bills. I would very much appreciate any help - no matter the amount.
The immediate need is $3000, which would cover my living expenses for a month and pay some of the debt that has built up over the past year. Right now I have about $100. Anything over that will pay down my medical debt of about $4,500 and allow me to live while I find out if I can expect 6 months of chemo therapy.
I will be reapplying for disability depending on the biopsy of the removed mass. I will update everyone as soon as I have the results. I know that times are hard for many of us and I am requesting any help you can give me. If you think you have any friends who would be willing to pitch in please feel free to share this GoFundMe.
I am happy to talk further if you want any additional information. Thank you in advance for your consideration and I appreciate any help you can give me.
