Terry's fight against Cancer

My name is Amanda. I've started this gofundme page for my father, Terry Moore. First let me tell you a little bit about my dad. He's my best friend, he's the most caring, compassionate, giving, and loving person I've ever known. He is the type of man who will give you the clothes off his back if you're cold, the food from his home if you're hungry, and if you ever need help with anything all you have to do is call him and he will be there in a second to do anything and everything he can. He started this way from a young age. He wanted to protect his country and the people he loved so badly that he joined the army. Everyone knew who he was because he took care of everyone. Even when he had nothing, he still gave something. My dad taught me everything I know including not giving up even when things gets hard. I am who I am today because of him, he showed me it's okay to have a big heart, and to stand up for myself. He saved me from my worst moments. When I needed him he was there. I can literally tell him anything and he'll always listen and accept me. Sarcasm is his middle name and no matter what you talk about I'm pretty sure he can make a dirty joke out of it lol. If you ever needed a laugh, he's the best person to go to. He'll make you cry from laughing so hard. Even though my dad is the best man I've ever known, let's get to the serious part. He recently got some bad news. He got tested positive for lung cancer, and was told he has a year to a year and a half to live. News like that isn't easy for anyone, it killed him inside but he's still fighting strong. He recently started chemo, so far it's been good just tiring. His only transportation is the bus and personally I'd rather him have a ride to and from all his appointments. I'm doing this for my dad because he's going through a rough time and needs a lot of love and a helping hand. The money we make for this fundraiser will be going towards Uber rides to and from all his appointments, all medical expenses, bills at home so he can take time off, and for any services just in case something happens I know we will need to be prepared. I hope my dads story encouraged you to lend a helping hand, and see what a great man/dad he is. Anything helps, even just the thought counts.
