This gofundme.com page is for my mother, Terry Rickman. She was diagnosed with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) 8 years ago. She went home to our Lord, April 8th after her long battle of CHF. Below was the reason for this page. This will now be a memorial.
When she was giving birth to Hannah Grace in 2007, her heart stopped and she flat lined. After retrieving my sister, they worked on my mom and brought her back to life. They decided to place a pacemaker/defibrillator to help her heart. Both my sister and Mother stayed at Barnes Jewish Hospital for over a month until they could go home.
Mom's battle has been a long one. Full of ups and downs. Her heart gets out of rhythm (AFib) and she has to get shocked back into rhyming on a regular basis. However, her heart is now on it's last limb.
The beginning of January 2016, she was admitted
into Cox South for severe dehydration. She stayed there for almost 2 weeks. While there, her pacemaker/defibrillator went off 7 times in a span of 20 minutes. After researching her multiple tests, they have confirmed, she needs a new heart.
We still need to get all the information needed before a transplant takes place but in the meantime, she will need assistance with doctor's bills, gas to and from appointments and daily living expenses. Due to her needing around the clock care, her husband is unable to get the hours they need to make ends meet.
Your help is greatly appreciated. You are helping my mom get closer to finding a cure for her CHF. With a new heart, she can be a mom, wife and MeMe (grandmother) she's always wanted.
