Last year Terryland Forest Park celebrated 25 years of existence. Initiated as a result of years of campaigning by community groups, 120 acres were zoned in the late 1990s by Galway City Council for a new woodland and riverine park.
Officially known as the ‘Lungs of the City’, Terryland Forest Park was the largest urban neighbourhood forest project in the history of the Irish state when it commenced in January 2000.
To celebrate this and highlight the work that has gone on in the park, a documentary is being filmed showcasing the volunteers, the activities and dedication to this integral park of the city. As Terryland is a community group, we are looking to help fund this documentary.
Please donate anything that you can and thank you in advance!
