Hi my name is Amy, and I am setting up this Gofund me for my friend, and coworker Terry Shelley-Gravel.

2025 has been a year of challenges for Terry, and her family, both medically and financially.

In February, Terry slipped while on a walk . She broke her wrist, which required surgery. This took her off work for over 16 weeks. While she was recovering, her brother Clay also broke his leg.

Terry and her husband Greg, are the full time care givers for Clay. This meant a prolonged time off work for both Greg and Terry.

They got trough all the recovery and cared for Clay, and thankfully back to work Terry went. So happy to see all the kids and families at the after-school program at the local elementary school.

Then in September Clay ended up getting severe RSV, and Terry was obligated to leave work again for two weeks, to care for Clay while in Hospital.

Thinking 2025 was almost over, Terry again has been faced with another challenge.

A few weeks ago Terry was out for a walk, and again she fell as a car was approaching. Thankfully the gentleman in the vehicle stopped, and assisted Terry home. She went to the hospital, where they did a full work up and a MRI. When the results came back, they informed her they found a tumor in her brain. This explained her balance issues, but it was not the news any of us wanted to hear.

They immediately referred her to a surgeon in neurology. In the next couple of days she learned that the tumor was about the size of a tangerine, and needed to be removed right away.

She was allowed to go home for a couple days, before she went in for surgery, a little over a week ago. Terry's surgery went well and three days later she was released from the hospital.

A few days after that, she wasn't feeling well, so Greg took her back to the hospital. The staff there informed her that she had suffered a mild stroke.

The Doctors were amazing and Terry is recovering and getting stronger everyday.

But this whole time Greg has stayed by Terry's side, also missing work and and much needed income. Two of Terry's sons, Josh and Jesse have been caring for their uncle Clay, and helping the best they can. This is huge, as it allows Greg to stay with Terry during the day, but he still is still transiting home daily to help with Clay as well.

This has been quite an unfortunate year for this family, and I hope we can raise a bit of money, to help relieve the financial burden from missing work.
