It is with a heavy heart to say that Terry Lee Rector Jr. passed away unexpectedly on the 7th of August 2023. He was born on June 26th, 1965 in Columbus Ohio.
Terry was a jack of all trades, a master of joke telling, crossword and sudoku puzzles and to say the least, was the life of any party. He had his own time schedule (Terry time); he answered to no one and lived life to the fullest. Terry was respected for his military service in the US Navy as a Gas Turbine Mechanic (1986-1991) and had a great devotion to the American Legion as well as the 40/8 veterans organizations. He was a die-hard motorcyclist, he lived to ride and rode to live. He loved motorcycles and the life of being a biker. He had the unique ability to meet any stranger and make them his friend. He always remembered your name, even if you had only met once.
He had the gift of gab and could make anyone laugh. There were stories that you couldn’t even make up in a Hollywood movie. If we had a book that was the tale of his life, it would be the longest book you have ever read. It would have good times, bad times, sad times, great times and incredibly unbelievable times (some were true, some were not, but the way he told them, it didn’t matter). He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. He loved to travel and lived the life of a wandering nomad. You never knew where he was, where he was going to be or if he would be there. He loved his family, his friends and everyone he met. He was a truly unique individual and he will be missed by many. The entire world feels lackluster in his passing. He had an uncanny ability to tell a joke multiple times without ever saying the same thing twice. He was a shoulder to lean on and was your best friend. Terry was an incredible man full of life and love.
He is survived by his mother Glenna Toy (Robert), his brothers Paul Rector (Theresa), and Gary Rector (Stacy), his children, Shawn Rector (Kristin), Amanda Dzina (Aron), Alesha Villa (Adam), Brittany Faulkner (Aristotle). nephews and niece, Cody, Logan and Emma. 5 grandchildren Ashlyn and Arielle; Glenn, Alonzo and Carmelo.
