Two weeks ago, Terry Huggins was found very sick in her home by her husband, Pat. Pat had called Terry's daughter, Tina, who sent her son Jackson to check on Terry. Jackson made the executive decision that she needed to go to the ED. EMT's were dispatched and transported Terry to St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee where it was determined that she not only had Influenza A, but her kidney was beginning to fail, and she was having problems breathing on her own. Terry only had one kidney due to the other being removed from cancer. She was admitted to the hospital, where her condition began to decline. Terry ended up needing to be intubated and was then air lifted to Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis. She then suffered what they thought was a heart attack, and was placed into a medically induced coma to try and help her body heal. Dialysis was done, multiple medical imaging scans, labs and more, but her body still was not improving. The Doctor’s said that if she pulled though, she would not have a high quality of life. The decision was made by family to remove the tube. On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Terry was taken home to be with the Lord. Please help with any donations to help towards any bills, funeral costs, and helping her husband continue to live in their home.
