Terry during his fight with Pancreatic Cancer
Don protégé
Hi! I'm Molly Kilmer, Terry Flynn's niece, and I'm helping fundraise for my Uncle while he battles Pancreatic Cancer.
Terry was diagnosed back in Sept 2022 with Type 2 Pancreatic Cancer. He has completed 12 rounds of Chemotherapy which unfortunately have taken a toll on his body landing him in the hospital during one of the rounds due to the potency of the chemo he was taking in. As a result of these intense treatments, Terry has lost 40 lbs; which is pretty significant given his stature. He has pushed through each of these rounds tenaciously, with the goal in mind of having the rest of his cancer surgically removed.
March 30th, Terry will undergo a Whipple procedure, also known as a pancreaticoduodenectomy. This procedure is a complex operation to remove the head of the pancreas, the first part of the small intestine (duodenum), the gallbladder, and the bile duct. This procedure is one of the most complex operations in surgery, taking 6-8 hours, with complications being very high.
Terry has worked in healthcare for over 40 years as a nursing assistant. He has always been a kind-hearted soul taking care of others with a smile on his face. It's his turn now, and he needs our help to assist with medical bills and living expenses as his short-term disability comes to an end this month. Long-term disability will be next, hoping that things can be set up quickly as he goes from one to the other and payments are similar.
Prayers are much appreciated on March 30th!! Anything you can do to help him financially would be greatly appreciated with medical and living expenses (such as rent).
God Bless!
