My Dad Terry Bunnell has been dealing with congenital heart failure for 10 years. On February 11th he coded while he was rushed to hospital by ambulance. This happened because his potassium spiked so high that he body became toxic. Now my Dad's kidneys are no longer functioning and he is on dialysis 3x a week. Since February 11th he has been in the hospital 90% of the time. He has now been transferred to Stanford and is recovering from an Emergency surgery as I write this. My Dad will be put on a heart and kidney transplant list most likely tomorrow. This is going to be a long long road for my dad and my stepmom. My stepmom Brenda has been a blessing to my Dad. She has not left his side since February 11th. Actually she hasn't left his side since he got sick. Brenda has not been able to work and will not be able to return to work for a very long time. She is now staying in a hotel near Stanford. At this present time she does not qualify to Stanford housing until they consider her necessary to be with him. Even then it will cost money to stay.
My Dad is going to hate that I am sharing this but, he and his wife need help with lodging, food, and transportation, and just everyday bills.
My Dad knows he has been as he has called it "bonus time" and we feel extremely blessed to have this bonus time.
Brenda has asked if you know my Dad to leave some kind of "smart ass comment" for him. He would love that!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! ♥️♥️
